The storm rolled in as Porteños made their way home along Avenida 9 de Julio.
We didn't always make it across Avenida 9 de Julio in one go and we were not in any particular hurry the day I took this photograph. My girlfriend and I were getting a big kick out of all the static electicity in the air. We discovered that each time we kissed sparks were litterally flying. So at each of the three medians we would stop, looking deeply into each others eyes saying something like, "Darling, I am overcome with the desire to keees you. I can go no further until I hold you in my arms and..." Then we'd kiss and the spark would sting. We'd burst out laughing I'd give her a twirl and we'd be on our way.
I found a nearby building from which to perch. The weather changed drastically as the sun went down. Luckily I brought a special heavy-duty clamp to mount my camera and had everything in place as the light show began.
